PRAXIS Executive Academy

Privacy Policy

This policy explains what personal information PRAXIS Executive Academy collects, why it is used, when it may be shared and the choices available to learners and website visitors.

Effective 3 September 2026

1. Who is responsible for your information

PRAXIS Executive Academy is operated by Anuradha Wickramasinghe, trading as PRAXIS Executive Academy, of 520C, Kelaniya, Sri Lanka. PRAXIS is responsible for the personal information it collects and determines how that information is used.

2. Information we may collect

3. How we collect information

We collect information directly from you when you register, purchase, study, complete an assessment, request support or contact us. Some technical and transaction information is provided automatically by the website, learning platform, hosting provider, analytics tools or payment processor.

4. How we use information

5. Legal and fair basis for use

We use personal information where it is necessary to provide a service you requested, meet legal obligations, protect legitimate business and security interests, or where you have given consent. You may withdraw consent for optional marketing at any time, without affecting earlier lawful use.

6. When information may be shared

Information may be shared only as reasonably necessary with trusted providers supporting payment processing, website hosting, learning delivery, video delivery, email, analytics, certificate verification, accounting and professional advice. It may also be disclosed where required by law, to protect rights or safety, or as part of a legitimate business reorganisation. We do not sell learner personal information.

7. International processing

Some service providers may store or process information outside Sri Lanka. Where this occurs, we take reasonable steps to use reputable providers and appropriate contractual, technical or organisational safeguards.

8. Cookies and similar technologies

The website may use essential cookies to keep accounts secure, remember settings and enable purchases. With appropriate notice or consent where required, analytics cookies may help us understand website use. Browser settings can be used to restrict cookies, although some website functions may then be unavailable.

9. Retention

Information is retained only for as long as reasonably necessary for learning access, certificate verification, support, fraud prevention and legal, accounting or tax requirements. Different records may have different retention periods. Information that is no longer required will be securely deleted or anonymised where reasonably practicable.

10. Security

We use reasonable administrative and technical measures to protect information against loss, misuse, unauthorised access, alteration or disclosure. No online system is completely secure, so learners must also protect passwords and promptly report suspected account misuse.

11. Your choices and rights

Subject to applicable law and reasonable identity verification, you may ask to access or correct your personal information, object to certain uses, withdraw marketing consent, or request deletion where the information is no longer required. Some records may need to be retained for legal, transaction, academic integrity or certificate-verification purposes.

12. Children

PRAXIS courses are intended primarily for adult professional learners. A person under 18 should enrol only with the involvement and consent of a parent or legal guardian. We do not knowingly seek unnecessary personal information from children.

13. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy when our services, providers or legal obligations change. The revised effective date will be shown on this page, and material changes will be communicated where reasonably practicable.
